THE TEMPEST

The cast of the 6th Form Production of The Tempest were in school on Sunday for the first of their weekend rehearsals. While we still have a long way to go before the show is ready, lots of progress was made and the show is really coming together. Here is a sneak peak at the promotional video which will be shown in assembly this week. Tickets are available from Monday for the performances which are on Wednesday 29th November and Thursday 30th November.

The Tempest: It is Shakespeare, but not as you know it!

Prep School House Drama

The Drama department ended 2016 on a high note with the Prep School inter-house drama competition. Houses performed extracts from ‘The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe’. Along side the excellent acting, creative use of drama techniques and energetic ensemble work , we were also treated to some cracking costumes, punchy props……and wonderful wigs!

While the judges were deliberating over which house would take first place (Shackleton ended up the overall winner), the audience were treated to a performance of ‘The Grinch Who Stole Christmas’ by our Year 11 Drama students and a few ‘special guests’.
